Your grand tour starts in Ōtautahi / Christchurch, with time to explore the city's unique blend of old and new before heading south to the historic Scottish city of Ōtepoti / Dunedin. Travel along the spectacular southern coast to the Catlins and Invercargill, before arriving at Te Anau, the gateway to Te Rua-o-te-Moko / Fiordland. A breathtaking coach and cruise takes you into the heart of Piopiotahi / Milford Sound, before a well-deserved rest in Tāhuna / Queenstown. The journey continues north along the West Coast to Franz Josef, where you will have time to explore the glacier region before your final trip back to Christchurch on the incredible TranzAlpine train.
